If you have a son who plays soccer on any of the squads for Southwest High School, you are a Booster!
The Southwest Soccer Booster Club is a volunteer organization made up primarily of players’ parents and friends of Southwest Laker Men's Soccer. Boosters are a liaison between Athletic Director, players and coaches and primarily fund and run the soccer program.
Funds raised by southwest soccer boosters pay for the ability to carry out 4 full teams and events that the district does not cover.
Expenses include but are not limited to:
Administrative Fees
Coaches compensation
Equipment and Apparel
Tournament Fees
Varsity Overnight
Annual Banquet
Welcome Night
And MORE!!
The purpose of the Boosters is to
provide accurate and timely information to parents,
assist coaching staff with communication to families,
provide financial support to maintain a high quality boys’ soccer program,
raise awareness of the program, and
build the SW community through volunteer opportunities.
There are many ways you and your family members can become involved in the Southwest Soccer Men’s Booster Club. Volunteering to work at Booster-sponsored events is fun, in addition to being a great way to connect with Southwest High School and with the Southwest community. Keep an eye on the homepage of this website for upcoming events, and sign up through VolunteerSpot on the Volunteer Page, to help out at Southwest Laker Soccer events.
Responsibilities of the Booster Club include, but are not limited to:
Fundraising: Super Soccer Saturday, car wash, all concessions, youth soccer camp
Communication: Web site, email, contact database, volunteer coordinator, team managers, photographers
Team Events: Referees for all non-Varsity home games, ball boys for all home games, hosting Pasta Parties, planning the end-of-year banquet
Team Logistics: Budget, team fees, team managers, ordering apparel, coordinating Varsity out of town trips
